Dear Lunada Bay Families,

I hope everyone had a great start to the school year. A couple notes below about weeks with holidays (Labor Day is on Monday, 9/7) and minimum days along with save the date information for Back-to-School Night on 9/10.

Shortened Weeks (Labor Day, Memorial Day, Presidents' Day, etc.)

In the event of a shortened school week, students will receive 4 regular days of instruction (no Wednesday schedule). Whether the scheduled day off is a Friday or Monday, schedules should be moved and adjusted to reflect the regular M, T, Th, F schedule for 4 full-days of student instruction (no Wednesday schedules in shortened weeks).

Back-to-School Night on 9/10

Our annual Back-to-School Night will be held on Thursday, 9/10.  3rd – 5th grade teachers will present from 5:00 p.m. to 5:40 p.m. TK-2nd grade teachers will present from 5:50 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This is an important opportunity for you to ‘virtually’ meet with your child’s teacher and learn more about what they are going to experience this year. Your child’s teacher will share information about how their classroom operates as well as teaching, learning and behavioral expectations. Look for a specific email from your child’s teacher about how to login and access Back-to-School Night on 9/10.

Minimum Days (Conference Days, BTSN, etc.)

All Minimum Days will follow the regular Wednesday Schedule.

To clarify, next week has both a holiday, Monday 9/7 and a minimum day, Friday 9/11. The schedule for next week is, Monday – NO SCHOOL, Tue, Wed and Thur are regular school days with am & pm cohorts and Friday will be a minimum day (adhering to the Wednesday schedule), because Back-to-School Night is the night prior and we follow the minimum day schedule the day after Back-to-School Night.
