Dear Lunada Bay Elementary Families,
We are almost ready to kick off the 2020-2021 school year! With less than two weeks until school starts, I will be keeping you updated as to important events as we kick-off the school year.

Next week, you will receive an important PVPUSD email with program information (hybrid cohort assignment, distance learning information, etc.)*Important Information Coming Soon*
Hybrid Program - If your son/daughter is in the blended program- you will receive A.M. or P.M. cohort information by midweek next week. A.M. instruction schedule will be 8:30-11:15 and P.M. instruction will be 12:15-3:00 on M, T, Th & F. You will be contacted by your teacher with specifics regarding the classroom schedule and login information.
Distance Learning Program (DLA) - If your son/daughter is in the distance learning program- you will receive confirmation next week. Students should be available for distance learning from 8:30-3:00 M, T, Th & F. Specific schedules, login information & small group instruction times will be determined and communicated as well.
The Wednesday Schedule - The Hybrid and Distance Learning programs will include whole class lessons from 9:00-10:00. Whole group class instruction, as well as grade level virtual and school-wide special events will be planned on Wednesdays in addition to asynchronous learning.
Pick up of School Related Items Pick-up day for all school related items including Chromebooks, textbooks and essential items will be Tuesday, August 25th, a schedule will be sent out next week detailing this procedure. Lunada Bay Elementary will distribute and manage the Chromebooks for Hybrid, DLA and Independent Study learning programs.
Wednesday, August 26th is the First Day of School! Students will log in at 9:00 a.m. to meet their teacher and classmates! The Lunada Bay Staff and I cannot wait to begin this memorable year.
This is going to be an interesting year for all of us. I know that the Lunada Bay community will work together to achieve the common goal of instructional excellence, enrichment and meaningful experiences for our students.
